Necklace holder

My daughter has a jewelry box but there is no where to hang necklaces, so when I spotted this for .25 I knew the solution to my problem.

All I had to do to revamp this beauty was clean it, tape the hooks, paint it, and enjoy its new look!

Lamp redo

My sister was redoing her room and couldn't find a lamp she liked so I offered to help her out. We went to the thrift store and found these two beauties for $5 total.

Before

She wanted a black base with a black and white lampshade to go with her black, red, and white bedroom. So I taped off the top and spray painted the lamp black. Then I took the monogrammed fabric and trim off the lamp shade and traced the lampshade on the new fabric. Then I hot glued the new fabric onto the lampshade.  It looks like a completely different lamp.

Chandilier Redo

I found a pink chandelier online and decided I needed to make one for my girls. So I went off the the thrift store and found a brass one fore $5!! Score! :)  So I brought it home and cleaned it off and removed the candle covers.

Before

Then I painted the whole chandelier pink and covered the candle covers with a hemp material and a hot glue gun. Once it was all dry I put it back together and my hubby hung it. I LOVE how it turned out and the hemp adds a beachy feel which goes with their room perfectly! :)

Dresser/changing table

This was by far my hardest yet favorite project I have done. I found this at my favorite thrift store for $125 marked down to $40 and half...$20 how could I not buy it right?!? I love all the curves, the size, and the amount of drawers...14 to be exact!!!

Before

First I cleaned it out and sat the drawers in the sun to try and get some of the "old" smell out. Then I took the gross fabric out of the top two drawers.

After everything was cleaned and the handles were removed I started painted.  It took about 2 coats of paint with primer and a lot of touch ups but but now it is finished and I love it!!!

Play kitchen

I am slightly addicted to Pintrest and when I saw a before and after of a nightstand into a play kitchen I was on a mission to find and make my own. It started with a trip to my favorite thrift store where I found this beauty for $5!!

Before

Then came the hubby's part. He cut the hole for the sink (a dog bowl) and added the shelf while I painted the knobs, the burners, and the faucet. After all the holes were cut I painted the nightstand. Then we put it all together and it turned out like this.

My daughter loves to "cook" for her brother and I and pretend to wash her hands. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

Radio table

I saw this radio table at my favorite thrift shop and went back and forth on whether to buy it or not. After about 2 weeks it was still there and it was HALF off!!

Before

So I grabbed my hubby and off we went. When we got it home my hubby gutted out the inside (the radio and record player) and went to work preparing it for a new coat of paint. Now that it is finished we use it for movie and video game storage. I love how it turned out and I hope you do too!

Bookshelf and Bookends

I LOVE Craigslist!!! I love finding furniture people find useless or no longer need and are willing to sell at very low prices. So when I needed a bookshelf for my daughter I turned to Craigslist...and found exactly what I was looking for. I found this bookshelf for $5!!! I removed all the stickers, wiped it down, and gave it a fresh coat of paint. It looks great and I love the size!

Now that I had a bookshelf I needed some bookends so I went searching and found these at goodwill for $3!!! Cleaned them off, spray painted them and they match great with my sweet girls room!
